Introducing Comoji Supporters: Hide Promotions for $1.99

Comoji adds free Slack-style :emoji: autocomplete to every app on your Mac.
Comoji started with a small wish: type :liz, press Tab, and get a lizard wherever I am writing. Emoji autocomplete, the full emoji browser, stickers, and GIF search have grown around that idea. They are all free, and they stay free.
The new Comoji Supporter option is a way to chip in if the app has become part of your day. Pay $1.99 once for direct support and a quieter picker. The small promotions for my other Senternet projects disappear from Comoji’s pickers. No subscription, no renewal, and no feature limits for anyone who keeps using it for free.
What are the promotions?
You may have seen a small card below emoji suggestions or among the sticker and GIF results. These are house promotions for my other Senternet projects only. Senternet is the home for the apps and projects I build and maintain, including Comoji. Each card introduces another project from that same collection, so people who find Comoji useful can discover something else I have made.
The cards link to those projects so you can learn more if one catches your eye. Only my own Senternet projects appear in these placements. Comoji picks which card to show locally on your computer; it does not upload what you type or build an advertising profile from your searches.
Supporter removes those cards from emoji autocomplete, the emoji browser, and both the sticker and GIF pickers. The Other Projects directory remains there when you deliberately want to browse it.
One payment, a permanent license
Your license is saved on your computer and checked there. Comoji does not phone home to ask whether you can keep using it. Once activated, Supporter works offline and survives app restarts. There is no account to create and no recurring bill to remember.
The free app keeps the same emoji, shortcuts, custom aliases, skin tones, stickers, and GIF search. Supporter buys a quieter picker, includes help from me directly, and helps me keep working on Comoji. Write your message on the Contact Support page and verify the email you paid with using a one-time code.
How to become a Supporter
First update Comoji using Check for Updates in its menu bar menu. Then:
- Choose Upgrade to Supporter… from the menu bar menu, open Preferences → Supporter, or visit the Supporter page.
- Pay $1.99 through Stripe using an email address you can access. Comoji never sees your card details.
- On the confirmation page, choose Activate in Comoji. Allow your browser to open the app and confirm activation if asked.
- If the button does not open Comoji, copy the license token and paste it into Preferences → Supporter. Keep that token private.
A new computer does not mean a new purchase
Reinstalled the app or moved to another Mac? Restore your license using the email address from checkout. Enter the short code sent to that inbox, then activate the returned license. No password or subscription dashboard required.
Why $1.99?
Comoji is a small convenience, and I want supporting it to feel like a small decision. If it saves you a trip through the emoji panel or makes a conversation a little more expressive, this is a way to say thanks and get the promotions out of the way.
Using Comoji for free is welcome too. Thank you for putting a little lizard in your menu bar. If you would like to chip in, become a Comoji Supporter.
Frequently asked questions
What does Comoji promote in its pickers?
Only other Senternet projects built and maintained by Matt Senter, the developer of Comoji. These house promotions help people discover his other apps and projects, and are selected locally on your computer.
Does Comoji now require payment?
No. Every feature remains free. The optional $1.99 Supporter license removes house promotions from the pickers.
Is Comoji Supporter a subscription?
No. It is one payment for a permanent license, verified offline by the app. There are no renewals or recurring charges.
How do I restore Comoji Supporter?
Use the Restore page with the email address from checkout, enter the emailed verification code, and activate your license in Comoji.
Does paying change how Comoji handles my typing?
No. Typing stays on your computer for free users and Supporters alike. Buying a license does not add app telemetry.
